I currently live in a converted 1940’s era dairy barn. The view from my home is of lush fields bordered on three sides by the Priest River in North Idaho. On the other side, forest and country roads. This colors so much of my writing and has a deep impact on how I live. There is always something new to learn, see, and appreciate. Here, nature grounds me. Here, three “W’s” are frequent considerations: wildlife, weather, and wondering how I’m going to get out of my driveway in the winter. I guess that could be four “W’s.”
I graduated summa cum laude from Seattle University with a degree in English/Creative Writing. My early work was published in student literary magazines, publications for which I also served as a literary editor. I have more than 20 years of professional writing experience including work as a proposal writer for a nationally recognized management consulting firm and later as a document control specialist for a prestigious nutritional supplement company. I now have the honor of working with an amazing, award winning speech recognition and conversational AI company.
When not working or writing, I can be found exploring the river and the woods with my dogs, Luna and Mocha, concocting something in the kitchen, hitting the home gym to combat whatever it was I concocted in the kitchen, or cuddled up somewhere soaking up a good story.
