Thank You, and Goodnight

Christmas 2017 is now in the books and after two days of visiting with family from near and far, I’m now sitting back, putting my feet up, and sipping on a nice cup of mint tea. Or, I would be. That’s a good fantasy, isn’t it? But, sadly, it isn’t true. I have committed to a few things that are getting done today (note the gritted teeth and determination in that assertion!!), and the first thing on my list is this post in which I send you a huge

THANK YOU!

Thank you for reading my posts. Thank you for your occasional comments and for letting me know you’ve been reading. Thank you for keeping in touch.

As we move in to 2018, I’m undecided about the future of this site. It’s never been about the numbers for me. I don’t really care how much traffic the site draws or how many people subscribe. This is not my business; it’s just a hobby, something I created just to see if I could. It’s now time to mix things up, rework the site, or possibly just move on to other projects. With recent decisions being made to stack the deck in favor of big businesses controlling the Internet, my gut reaction is to move along to something else, something further from the thumb of corporate greed. But who knows? I may still post occasionally. I’m not quite sure, but I’m excited about new possibilities and new avenues to explore, and I wanted to thank you with all my heart for being dedicated readers and friends.

On this day after Christmas, Boxing Day, when I’m boxing up my leftovers and sticking all my sugary treats in the freezer, I’m feeling so thankful for all I have in my life. I’m blessed with a crazy-good family, friends, and abundance beyond measure (my heart is so full!) and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude – with perhaps a tinge of melancholy. After all, it’s hard to say goodbye to beautiful moments, and you have provided me with so many.

Thank you, goodnight, and all the best to you and your loved ones in 2018 and beyond!
