This is my last post of 2014. By this time next week, it will be 2015 and most of us will be paying for our holiday indulgences in one way or another. Some of us will weigh a little more or have a slightly lighter bank account balance (or both!). Some of us will be more determined than ever to pay off debts, get organized, run a marathon, lose weight, or meet other milestones, and we’ll be dipping our toes into the deep pool of resolve that has sprung up around us since we last gave thought to our goals. If we stick with it, we’ll be diving deeper, much deeper, soon enough.
Before we all tuck our chins and plunge into the new year, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Not everybody has this type of platform from which to ramble on at length, show off pictures of their loved ones, and ponder out loud the nuances of life. When I started this blog, I knew I wanted to expand my horizons and enhance my skills, but I had no idea what I was doing or where I wanted this little blog to go. While it is still a work-in-progress and will continue to evolve, you have given me the encouragement and support that have in turn given me wings to explore. To have wonderful readers such as you makes me feel truly blessed. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
So, for 2015, I wish for you the freedom and ability to explore our beautiful and complex world, shout your conviction from the rooftops – or from the river valleys – and feel as blessed as I do. I hope you show me pictures of your critters or whatever makes you feel joyful. I hope that you embrace all the good that life presents, reject negativity, and smile as much as you can. Simply put, I wish for you the wings you have given me.
May you have a truly blessed new year!
And, of course, one last gratuitous Moosie picture – the last of 2014!
